The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently
announced the final results for the UPSC Civil Services 2022 examination on May
23, 2023. A total of 933 candidates have been selected by the commission to
become the next group of civil servants in prestigious positions such as the
Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian
Police Service (IPS).
Looking ahead, the UPSC will be conducting the Civil
Services Preliminary Examination on May 28, 2023. This exam serves as the
initial stage for the recruitment process of the UPSC Civil Services 2023.
Interestingly, just before this upcoming exam, the commission made the decision
to declare the UPSC 2022 final results, introducing us to the new batch of UPSC
toppers.
Among the top performers in the UPSC 2022 examination, three
out of the top four toppers hail from Delhi University, while one comes from
IIT Hyderabad. These successful candidates, who were once aspiring civil
servants themselves, have generously shared their advice and strategies for the
benefit of other aspirants.
Ishita Kishore, the All India Rank 1 holder in the UPSC 2022
examination, emphasized the importance of discipline and sincerity in one's
preparation. She encourages aspirants to stay committed to their goals and
maintain consistency and discipline throughout the journey. According to
Kishore, putting in the necessary hours of focused effort is crucial for
success in the demanding UPSC examination.
Mayur Hazarika, who secured the fifth rank among male candidates,
highlighted the significance of working smartly and planning effectively during
the preparation phase. Hazarika emphasized the need for aspirants to identify
the areas where their energy should be directed, maximizing their efforts in
the most productive manner.
Uma Harathi, who achieved the remarkable feat of securing
the third rank after facing failure in the exam five times, urged aspirants to
embrace their failures and setbacks. She emphasized the importance of having
faith in oneself, understanding the exam pattern, developing a personalized
strategy, and taking ownership of every aspect of the preparation process.
Smriti Mishra, another UPSC 2022 topper, suggested that
students create their own comprehensive notes to enhance their understanding
and retention of key concepts. Similarly, Garima Lohia, who secured the second
rank, advised aspirants to persevere and not give up in their pursuit of
success.
Every year, more than 10 lakh candidates apply for the UPSC
Civil Services Examination, highlighting the immense competition and
significance of this prestigious exam. The Preliminary stage for the 2023 will
